    We are a rapidly growing entrepreneurial insurance agency with a regional office in the Philadelphia area. We are expanding our Group Benefits Department and have an excellent opportunity for a Benefits Specialist with experience in PA, NY and NJ group benefits. We are looking for someone who has respect for the client-agency relationship, and understands the role of a trusted adviser.  We build long-term relationships with our clients, and we look to do the same with our employees.  Although insurance agency experience is a plus, we will certainly consider experience on the carrier side, or as a benefits administrator in the human resources department of an organization. He or she will need to be able to independently manage small to medium sized projects, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, able to collaborate well with others and the ability to problem solve. He or she will also need to demonstrate critical, analytical thinking.

    Responsibilities

    • Communication with corporate clients and carriers
    • Experience with carrier changes and implementation
    • Managing the renewal process
    • Conducting open enrollment meetings
    • Reconciling invoices and open enrollment changes
    • Creating presentations for new business and renewals
    • Eligibility Changes
    • Overall Account management
    • Managing implementation process for new carriers

    Qualifications

    • Intimate knowledge of paperwork requirements for Plan/Carrier changes

    • Compliance awareness in the benefits Industry
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong sense of professionalism and maturity
    • Excellent computer skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint

    • Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as part of a team
    • Demonstrated expertise in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Internet Explorer
    • Ability to work well with colleagues at all levels

    • Ability to interface with clients and carriers effectively
    • Attention to detail, organized and strong project management skills
    • Resourceful, proactive self-starter with the ability to think ahead
    • Agency experience a plus, but will consider carrier side, or benefits administration in an organization
